LRS Northbrook Materials Recovery Facility

Go Green Winnetka is coordinating another tour of the LRS Northbrook Materials Recovery Facility!

These tours educate and show first-hand how to see how household recycling actually gets sorted, cleaned, and prepared to be made into new products. It’s a great way to “peak behind the curtain” of your recycling bin and appreciate the massive amounts of engineering, machinery, and human effort required to manage community waste.
