The mission of Go Green Northbrook is to promote environmental sustainability through education, community programs, and collaboration with local governmental entities.
The carbon-reducing solar arrays above were installed on a Northbrook residence in 2009. Later a second was installed in 2019. It is a measure of the progress of the technology that the north-facing 2019 installation produces as much power as the original south-facing array.
