Northbrook Recycling Opportunities through Jan 31, 2025

  1. Holiday Lights: Two drop-off points until JAN 31
    Weekday Business Hours only
    Have you come across any broken, old, or unwanted holiday lights at home? Recycle them!
    Drop off lights on weekdays until January 31 at the marked bins in the lobby at Village Hall (8:30 am-4:30 pm) or outside the Fleet Maintenance Garage (7 am to 3 pm). Holiday lights may be dropped off for electronics recycling at the locations below.
  2. Christmas Tree Recycling until JAN 31 CURBSIDE:
    Residents can recycle their organic holiday trees by placing them at the curb on their recycling day through Jan 31. REMEMBER – these trees will be chipped/composted. Please remove all artificial contaminants like lights and decorations.
  3. Electronics recycling SAT JAN 4, TUES JAN 7:
    At Fleet Maintenance Garage, 1227 Cedar Lane
    Bring your old and unused electronics to be recycled. Residents are responsible for removing items from their vehicles for contactless disposal.

    1st Saturday (4th) of the month 9am-noon & 1st Tuesday of the month (7th) 7am-3pm.
  4. POLYSTYRENE – SOLID, WHITE PACKING BLOCKS ONLY
    (No packing peanuts or food containers)
    Recycle it because it’s toxic in landfills and takes 1,000+ years to decompose. See ABT recycling center and Go Green Wilmette.

  2. ORGANIZED BY GO GREEN WILMETTE w/ABT
    Jan. 3 & 4 from 8 am – 1 pm. – Clean, white blocks only
    Drop off location staffed by volunteers: Centennial Family Aquatics Center, 2300
    Glenview Road in Wilmette.
