The mission of Go Green Northbrook is to promote environmentally sustainable decisions in our community.
Welcome and thank for visiting us! We’re residents and other citizens who care about a thriving and sustainable environment here in Northbrook, IL. We come together to bring about initiatives and education towards making our community more environmentally friendly in practice and lifestyle. We are a group for anyone willing to make any effort — small or large — towards leading an environmentally thoughtful life. We are learning and sharing more and more together.
We were established in 2013 by Doug Gerleman following suit with other area communities who have established ‘Go Green’ organizations. Together with these neighboring communities we meet quarterly at the Chicago Botanic Garden as CONSEG (Consortium of North Shore Environmental Groups).
We’re an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so donations are tax deductible. We have an elected Board of Directors, with elections held in September of each year. The best way to get to know us is to attend one one of our events. For more information about Go Green Northbrook or to partner with us, please contact us.
While you’re here, why not take a look at our initiatives and recommended green events? We hope to see you in the neighborhood soon!
